"These kids are amazing. All so distinctively different, free, and real with what is true to them. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed in. You recognize the impact you’re able to make in a child's life in such a short period of time."

Welcome to Atitlan Eco School
"We combined our love for art and painted signs for the property and school building. In white paint, we got each child to place their hands on the finished project. As a sign of completion, and well deserved inauguration for the school’s success thus far." - Sophia Carolina
Located in Jaibalito, Guatemala; the school is owned and funded by the property owners Luz & Genoveva - Massage Therapists and Owners of @atitlanherbals. They built their system within the trees to help preserve the land & teach an ecology based education. At the moment, the school has about 10-12 kids, ages 5-12 attending Monday through Friday for a few hours each day. Every day around noon, Karla - their teacher, walks through town to pick up the children one by one. Sometimes you could spend from 30 min to an hour in this process. Because some of these kids are already working or helping their family with responsibilities, every day looks different with those attending. Sometimes the child that showed up yesterday, could not show up today. Every day is an ebb and flow.
The school was created to be a free education system that complimented the schools that exist throughout surrounding towns. Therefore, everything and everyone that has built Atitlan Eco School from the ground up, to materials, has been through its founders pockets, and donations. As of right now, Atitlan Eco School is asking for funds to help with pending school projects and maintain their teachers salary for the next year.

"After exploring many countries and meeting extraordinary people at such a young age; I've dedicated my time to organizing and guiding 'All-Inclusive, Intentional Travel' for over 50 people in the last 2 years throughout Central & South America. Through divine alignment, I met Luz & Genoveva back in 2021 and was able to spend a week volunteering at the school a year later in July.
This gave me the opportunity to spend more quality time with the founders, their daughter Lupe, and connect 1:1 with the kids. During my time at the school, we practiced writing, counting through art, and created our own short story. I teamed up with another volunteer at the property and together, painted the schools walls and signs for the school building. I look forward to returning with a group of motivated individuals ready to also make an impact!"

"I am a mother, a woman business owner, and a woman with a desire to encourage a return to love through positive change. I have always dreamt of doing something for the world, being one with this Earth. Today in my life I express that through loving my children, honoring plants, learning and teaching yoga, as well as, through reiki, microcurrent therapy, personal development, being conscious of what I put into my being, being creative, and spreading love. I have a double Bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology and Communications, and although I saw myself doing this whole thing differently, my spiritual journey has brought me on a path home. My passion goes into these retreats where we come together in true connection while integrating and opening up to new cultural experiences; new perspectives. I have a lot to be grateful for starting with my life, my beautiful children, and a place to make all these dreams come to fruition, Soulflower Yoga and Wellness in Massachusetts, which I co-own as a Certified 200 hr Yoga Alliance Teacher, Reiki II practitioner, Kangen water distributor, and personal wellness coach. Now, I can be so grateful we get to share parts of our journey together. Let’s keep making ripples until they are waves!" -Sam Dungca
"The transformation I’ve had within myself of being who I was, to who I am now, has been a beautiful journey that continues to grow and evolve every day. I find true fulfillment and joy when I am in service to others, whether it is through yoga, meditation, reiki, sound healing, frequency therapy, or just an open heart and open arms for someone to come to. The ultimate gift is being able to share with others the tools I have learned in hopes of helping them towards their own journey of health and happiness. My core value is building genuine, authentic connections to those around me. I am a 200hr RYT, Reiki level II as well as a certified sound healing and energy medicine practitioner. I am honored to walk this next part of my path with the powerful humans that I have been aligned with." -Alexis Costa
Our vision and mission is to bring wellness in what form people need, anytime, any place. We meet you where you are at and curate a plan that honors your truth. This led us to hosting destination retreats where we fully immerse ourselves into the culture and honor each other, as well as the Earth that we all share. Our next journey holds a special place in our hearts where we are truly giving a piece of our heart and soul into something special.
